![]() ![]() My parents are unaware of any admin password. So something's definitely messed up here. But I was never required to log on my Mac just started and went to the desktop straightaway. Funny thing is though, I was never told this admin password, if one even existed which I think it did because I keep getting prompted for it when doing certain things including installing Yosemite. I'm talking about the password that comes up when on the log-on screen, not my Apple ID or any other password. The second guy tried the same thing with me, but couldn't get it either. I had somebody coming over so I had to call them back. ![]() However, we were not successful because the password reset window kept losing focus. This will allow you to create a new password for the account. You'll find this listed in the menu on the left. ![]() The first guy to whom I spoke tried to walk me through the steps of resetting it via the Terminal in Recovery Mode on my MacBook Air. Choose the option to reset your password with your Apple ID. You'll be prompted for the admin password for the account you're using again. Are any of you aware of a way to reset the admin password using VoiceOver? I called Apple accessibility this morning for help with the strange password issue I've been having. ![]()
